QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked
Do I need to be good at art to do art therapy?
Not at all. Art therapy isn't about skill or making something beautiful — it's about using materials as a way to notice, express, and process. Many clients haven't picked up a paintbrush since childhood.
Are sessions virtual or in person?
All sessions are currently held virtually via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for clients located anywhere in Pennsylvania.
How long does therapy usually last?
That depends entirely on you. Some clients come for a focused season of a few months; others stay longer for deeper work. We'll revisit your goals together regularly.
What happens in a consultation?
A free 15-minute conversation where you can share what brings you in, ask questions, and get a feel for whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure to commit.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I work with Headway to accept a variety of insurance plans, and self-pay is also available. Coverage varies by individual plan, so benefits will be verified before beginning therapy.
